Dereb The Ambassador

Dereb Desalegn, better known by his pseudonym Dereb The Ambassador is an Ethiopian funk/soul/jazz artist, now based in Australia. The highly anticipated album, coming out via Other Tongues next year, was put together by producer Tony Buchen and Dereb to faithfully record the music of 1960s-70s Ethiopian soul. The live show consists of a 9 piece band, replete with a 5 piece horn section, comprising some of the finest horn players in the Antipodes.
Lisa Miller

Lisa Miller is Melbourne’s favourite country/folk singer/songwriter, whose heavenly voice has already earned her multiple ARIA nominations – including two for best adult contemporary album and best producer at this year’s ARIAs for her latest release – her first on Other Tongues – Car Tape 2.
Myles Mayo

Former Special Patrol frontman Myles Mayo is renowned as a formidably talented singer/songwriter. His first solo album – which has already garnered Triple J rotation for the track “How You Done Me Wrong” – is being released in early 2011 through Other Tongues.
Scott Spark

Brisbane singer/songwriter Scott Spark released his debut album “Fail Like You Mean It” in September 2010, on Other Tongues. It was lauded by critics, and drew favourable comparisons to the likes of Ben Folds and Rufus Wainwright. His live show – in both its solo and full-band incarnations – has captivated audiences nationwide following his recent tours launching his album and supporting Meghan Washington.
